Competitors lining up to replace NETeller [Thursday, February 15, 2007]
In the light of NETeller's decision to withdraw from the USA gaming market, a number of other 'e-wallet' companies have stepped in to fill the vacuum.
These include CLICK2PAY, ePassporte, and INSTADEBIT, who already serve many American customers. Others are InstaCash and ewalleteXpress. It is considered that CLICK2PAY is the most flexible option for gamers, since three major online poker rooms (Full Tilt Poker, Ultimate Bet and Bodog, as well as three major online casinos (Roxy Palace Casino, River Belle Online Casino and VIP.com Casino) allow such transactions.
Typical of the gaming industry's resourcefulness, new ways are emerging to pay for online gaming. Bodog.com has introduced NuCharge as an efficient way to make a credit card deposit into an e-wallet. System users buy pre-paid long-distance phone time in units of $100, $200 or $300. This is then substituted for an equal amount in eCash at Bodog.com. NuCharge gives each customer a PIN and control number, and enabled players to reach their registration service via the Bodog cashier.
