Atlantic City plans mega-casinos to compete with Vegas

By 2012, Atlantic City will look very different. Plans are in place to construct several new, luxury mega-casinos, to the tune of $9 billion.
Revel Entertainment will be opening their $2 billion resort in 2010, set to be the tallest building in the city, complete with its own wedding chapel.

The 'Revel' will be followed by the Pinnacle Entertainment casino in 2011, yet to be named, and the MGM Mirage which will open in the marina area in 2012, at a cost of $5 billion.
The city clearly hopes to become a serious rival to Las Vegas, with equally flamboyant casinos and multi-million dollar resorts.
