King of Pop to Open Thriller Themed Casino
[Sunday, June 14, 2009]
Michael Jackson seems to be looking for new sources of income to pay off his debt which is estimated to be around 160 million USD. The idea comes on the back of his 50-date concert at UK's O2 Arena. The King of Pop isreported to be in negotiations to open a casino in Las Vegas next year. It will have a theme from his most famous song - Thriller.
Thriller was released in 1984 and was Jackson's single for the Epic label. It reached #4 in the US singles chart and #10 in the UK singles chart. The new casino is said to replicate sets from the multi-platinum album of the same name. It will feature zombies behind the slot machines and "the living dead" roaming round the casinos.
Jackson is also set to release a new album and several movies. He is also planning to build a museum featuring iconic items from his career after his London tour concludes next year. The King of Pop is reported to have 160 million USD of debt and has been sued by dozens of former associates. This prompted him to sell his Neverland Ranch in 2008. The 50-date concert at UK's O2 Arena is projected to earn almost the same amount as is reported debt. Alongside with his other projects, experts predict this will boost Jackson's total income to a whopping 804 million USD.
