France has the most female casino players according to survey
[Sunday, November 08, 2009]
A survey from Casino.com shows that France has the most online casino players in Europe. The results show that 25.5 percent or more than a quarter of the female players are French. 32 percent of these women are in favor of roulette and slots. What's more surprising is that the survey shows that French players see internet casinos not just as a way to win money but as a form of social entertainment.
According to Jeff Turner, Casino.com's Marketing Director, they were very surprised to learn that more French women play at their casino than women elsewhere and that they plan to improve their customer service to duplicate these results across the board. This news will be of great interest to casino operators in the UK as France is due to ease down its policies on foreign online gaming providers to advertise in the country. This move is in line with the move of other members of the EU states. This move grants casino operators in the UK to advertise and promote their services in France. Currently, the country pushes sports betting operators to make financial contributions to the sport directly and only allows internet gaming providers that are locally based.
