Children's Hospital Gets $500,000 from Casino

Norton Healthcare Inc.'s Kosair Children's Hospital, has received $500,000 from The Caesars Foundation of Floyd County.
|
|
The half a million dollars donation, made by the charitable organization operated by Caesar's Indiana riverboat casino, was received through the Children's Hospital Foundation. The hospital already has plans for the money, which includes an expansion and renovation of the hospital's neonatal intensive care ward. The intensive care unit treats infants born with various complications, including pre-mature babies and low-birth weight. The 87-bed unit treated well over 1,100 infants in 2004.
