Get the winner's touch at Craps

Once you get to know the basic rules with Craps, its not nearly as intimidating at it might seem at first. In fact it can be quite easy to play. But you have to follow a careful and intelligent strategy if you are going to be able to win over time. First of all, you need to understand that its a game of rounds. You should focus not just on the result of a single dice roll but also on the strategic planning of your whole gaming session. When you hit a winning streak, bet more. Hold back on the money when you are losing.

Figure the Odds
Focus on the high-odds bets and be aware that you cannot win every time the dice rolls. In Craps, your best odds at the table are Come, Dont Come, Pass, Dont Pass.
Recognize what they are and use them to your advantage as often as you can.
Hence, take the best odds you can manage, use them in your favor as far as possible and play cleverly. The best odds on the table, in a game of Craps are Pass, Dont Pass, Come, Dont Come.
Usually you can add to a bet, subtract from it or remove it at any time. Betting on Come and Pass are the only two times when you cannot exceed the maximum bet on the odds. A Pass bet gives the casino a 1.41% edge. A Dont Pass bet gives it less than 1.41%. These differences can help you to form a winning strategy. Apart from these Line Bets aside, you need to concentrate on the Odds if you are to improve on the best bet. Either buy Odds in a Pass or Lay Odds in case of Dont Pass. Since the casino takes the takes on edge on Odds, this strategy can improves your initial bet.
When you place an Odds Bet, add an extra amount to your first Pass/Dont Pass bet just after the Come Out roll. Buy the biggest Odds that you can in order to maximize the Odds bet. Thats the way to minimize the Casinos advantage.
A good tip to follow is that if youre Laying Odds, make your initial Dont Pass bet a multiple of $6 so that when you bet full on your Double Odds it can be a multiple of $12. Use the same principle with Buying Odds, only use multiples of $5 for your Pass bet so that your Double Odds can be multiples of $10.
If you want to win, Don't Pass
In Buy the Odds, youll be tempted to play right since paybacks seem to be larger. But if you are serious about winning. Do the opposite. Play wrong so that you can exploit the smaller house edge. Thats the strategy used by experienced Craps players with a large bankroll, as well as those who are ready to collect their winnings over a longer span of playing time.
In Double Odds, the law of probabilities suggests that it is safer not to Lay Double on each round. There are four ways to roll a 5 and 9, three ways to roll 4 and 10 and five ways in which you will roll 6 or 8, and six ways to roll a 7. Reduce the range of dice formulations. When you are betting wrong and going for Double Odds, the 6s and 8s will appear more frequently, making you lose your bet. So the 4s and 10s are a better risk.
Admit you don't know
Theres no shame in not knowing everything about a Craps game. So spend some time becoming familiar with the rules and the terminology used in the game. Learn its special language so that you can dominate the game rather than having it dominate you. As you become more knowledgeable, you will start to see the glitter of success.
